Senior Data Engineer

Edari is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer for a leading company in Dubai. The successful candidate will design and develop scalable enterprise data platforms using Microsoft Fabric and Azure technologies, supporting business intelligence, advanced analytics, and AI-driven initiatives.

Key Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

Minimum 8 years of experience in data engineering, enterprise data warehousing, or business intelligence.

Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Pipelines, Notebooks, and Dataflows Gen2.

Advanced SQL and T-SQL skills, including query optimisation and performance tuning.

Strong expertise in Apache Spark, PySpark, and Spark SQL.

Proven experience in dimensional modelling, star schemas, and ETL/ELT development.

Mandatory Power BI experience, including semantic models and reporting datasets.

Working knowledge of Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Factory.

Experience designing enterprise-scale data platforms and supporting AI-driven initiatives.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, solution design, and documentation skills.

Experience preparing AI-ready datasets and knowledge repositories is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement enterprise data platforms using Microsoft Fabric.

Build Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and Medallion Architecture solutions.

Develop and optimise scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and orchestration workflows.

Create dimensional data models and curated datasets for Power BI reporting.

Ensure data quality, governance, security, monitoring, and platform reliability.

Troubleshoot production pipelines and optimise performance.

Develop governed, AI-ready data platforms supporting Generative AI, Microsoft Copilot, and Agentic AI initiatives.

Maintain technical documentation, architecture standards, and implementation guidelines.
