Information Security Specialist

Edari is seeking an Information Security Specialist for a government client in Dubai. The role focuses on information security governance, risk assessments, security controls, incident investigation, and compliance with Dubai Government’s Information Security Regulation (ISR) and Information Security Management System (ISMS) frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain security across IT infrastructure, networks, applications, systems, and information assets.

Support implementation and compliance with Dubai Government ISR and ISMS frameworks.

Conduct information security risk assessments and recommend mitigation measures.

Investigate security incidents, unauthorised access, and policy violations.

Monitor security controls, evaluate emerging technologies, and improve security policies.

Coordinate with IT teams, vendors, and service providers to address security requirements.

Support compliance audits, remediation activities, and IT service reliability.

Key Requirements

Proven experience in information security, cybersecurity, IT risk management, or security governance.

Practical knowledge of information security frameworks, preferably Dubai Government ISR and ISMS.

Strong understanding of risk assessments, threat identification, vulnerability management, and security controls.

Experience assessing IT infrastructure, networks, applications, and systems.

Knowledge of security policies, compliance, audits, incident investigation, and security architecture.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Certifications

CISSP, CISM, CISA, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor.
