Information Security Specialist

Edari is seeking an Information Security Specialist for a government client based in Dubai, UAE. The role involves supporting information security governance, risk assessments, security controls, and compliance initiatives to protect IT infrastructure, networks, applications, systems, and information assets.

Responsibilities include supporting compliance with Dubai Government's Information Security Regulation (ISR) and ISMS frameworks, conducting security threat and risk assessments, investigating security incidents and unauthorised access attempts, monitoring security technologies, and recommending mitigation measures. The specialist will also contribute to improving security policies and controls, support audits and remediation activities, evaluate new security technologies, and coordinate with internal IT teams and external service providers.

Candidates should have relevant experience in information security, cybersecurity, IT risk management, or security governance, with strong knowledge of security frameworks, vulnerability management, security architecture, and compliance requirements. Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or ISO 27001 are advantageous. Immediate joiners are preferred.
