Data Scientist – Computer Vision

A Data Scientist is required to develop and optimise AI models powering a video-analytics platform. The role involves building computer-vision solutions, fine-tuning modern machine-learning architectures and improving model performance for real-world industrial video applications.

Key Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning or a related field.

2+ years of applied machine-learning experience, preferably focused on computer vision.

Strong Python programming skills and hands-on experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow and OpenCV.

Experience with object detection, tracking and segmentation models, including YOLO or RF-DETR.

Familiarity with experiment-tracking tools such as MLflow or Weights & Biases.

Knowledge of model optimisation using TensorRT or ONNX.

Experience fine-tuning Vision-Language Models (VLMs) is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and fine-tune computer-vision models for object detection, tracking and segmentation.

Prepare, preprocess and augment image and video datasets.

Evaluate model performance using metrics such as mAP, precision and recall.

Track experiments and refine models to meet accuracy targets.

Optimise models for deployment under real-world performance constraints.
